Update on EDDCs decision to demolish jungle fun and golf

August 24, 2016 9:19 PM

Exmouth Lib Dems who successfully led opposition to the motion at Exmouth Town Council to demolish Jungle Fun and the crazy golf are dismayed and concerned that EDDC have now said they are pressing ahead anyway through 'delegated powers.' In effect giving themselves permission.

As the town council opposed the motion, EDDC have then consulted with the ward councillors, namely Bruce de Sarum, Mark Williamson and and John Humphries who confirmed their support for the demolition to go ahead.

Nevertheless, Lib Dem councillors are urgently seeking clarification as to whether the correct process has been followed given the town council's opposition, and we will update you when we know more. Usually decisions go to EDDC development management committee for ratification.
