This is a preview of your message. Dear Vince As a supporter of LibDem campaigns and approaches in the past, we would like to keep in touch with you locally. Democracy is under threat, and we watch as a potential coup taking place in one of the global super powers. It becomes more and more important that there is a fight back and a rejection of celebrity populist politics. As a local party we arrange talks and get togethers, but obviously Covid-19 has somewhat altered things. However, we are managing to do much online and hope you will be able to join us on occasions. On Tuesday 17th November at 7pm we have an informal on-line discussion with Lord Newby, Leader of LibDems in the House of Lords. He will be talking with local people on "The Liberal Democrat Party- Radical Politics for Our Future" RSVP to this email to be sent the zoom link. It is very strange not being able to meet with you in person and on our local patch, however I hope you will join in some of our on-line events and support a return to sanity in politics. If you are interested, there are many special interest groups within the party looking at specific topics, for example Green Liberal Democrats, Liberal Democrat European Group, Social Liberal Forum, LibDems for Electoral Reform, and many others. We would love to hear what your interests and political concerns are in today's world. You can also sign up to get regular LibDem updates at a frequency of your choice. If, however you wish to unsubscribe from getting emails, please use the function below. Best wishes Penny Lewis Chair East Devon Liberal Democrats |
